A manufacturer of automated prescription equipment needed a custom
keyboard that could be inserted into its own machine and
withstand regular cleaning with abusive chemicals.

Cherry created a miniature, notebook-sized custom keyboard with unique,
project-specific keycaps. To prevent gradual deterioration of keycap
printing in contact with cleaning agents, Cherry marked letters
on the keycaps with a high-temperature sublimation process,
embedding the alpha-numeric characters into the keycaps.
For the keycaps, Cherry evaluated and selected a specific grade of
PBT plastic to facilitate the sublimation process.
