| A manufacturer of GPS locating
systems for golf carts needed a back-up system to provide
dead-reckoning location for those times when the GPS system’s
view of the sky was obscured by trees. |

Cherry designed a magnetic speed &
direction sensor and a specialized magnetic target mounted
inside the wheel of the golf cart to provide precise information
regarding the distance and direction of travel experience by the
vehicle since the time of the last satellite signal.
