Cherry supports the RoHS Directive, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment in the EU.

As such, Cherry is aggressively pursuing RoHS compliance for all appropriate products.

The RoHS Directive stands for “the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances" in electrical and electronic equipment.  The Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.   Nearly all switch products are compliant with the RoHS Directive. For a listing of compliant and non-compliant switch part numbers, view our PDF.

All keyboard series manufactured after July 1, 2006 comply with the RoHS 2002/95/EC Directive. Since we may continue to stock some non-RoHS inventory for non-EU countries, please call (800) 510-1689 for specific compliance information on individual keyboard part numbers.
